Beautiful Swaledale
Upper Swaledale is a stunningly peaceful and beautiful corner of the Yorkshire Dales.
Largely undiscovered it's a perfect place to relax and unwind for a few days,
many choose to take in the spectacular walking on its doorstep.
Rowleth End, built in the heart of Upper Swaledale in 1924 in the Art Deco style as a
Gentleman's residence and shooting lodge, has always been a place of hospitality.
Now a well appointed and comfortable five-bedroomed guest house,
it is also the current
owner's home.
Guests are welcomed into both.
OPEN ALL YEAR

Two rooms have their own separate private spa bathrooms, each a couple of steps
outside the bedroom door.
Two rooms have traditional en-suite bathrooms with high-pressure showers.

Rowleth End Bedroom and View
We have five guest bedrooms, all on the first floor.
Each has
a supremely comfortable bed, a stunning panoramic view,
a specacular bathroom, crisp cotton sheets, plenty of fluffy white towels
And every one is incredibly quiet.

Rowleth End Drawing Room
Downstairs, there is a cozy drawing room with open fire, books, board games and a
gramophone player (wind-up, 78s only).

The house is an Art Deco timepiece, lovingly restored by recent owners.
Built in the 1920s,
its exterior hides sylish features of an earlier age.
The rooms all give out a strong sense of warmth and comfort.
The hallway is spacious with an internet terminal thoughtfully provided.
The staircase is almost grand (but not out of proportion to the rest of the house)
