Bottom Chapel - Askrigg

We offer a four-star bed and breakfast experience in our converted chapel in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales.

Our aim is simple: we want your stay at Bottom Chapel to be the very best we can make it. We want
you to feel relaxed and comfortable and free from the pressures of life. Ask for anything we haven’t
provided: if we can do it we will.

OPEN ALL YEAR

Bottom Chapel

Bottom Chapel was built by the Methodists in 1878 and was a place of worship until the mid 1990s
when it was partially converted by the people who lived here before us.

We completed the conversion during the summer of 2009, to provide two additional bedrooms with high,
leaded windows, a lovely library/sitting room on the third floor - and a model railway room for Ian.

Bottom Chapel Double Bedroom

The double and twin rooms have modern, en suite shower rooms; the small double has a traditional
but cosy bathroom. Each room has a television, radio, hairdryer, and tea and coffee-making facilities.
All duvets and pillows are hypo-allergenic. We can always provide extra bedding.

Wensleydale - Walking Country

Whether you’re in Askrigg for a short break or a longer holiday you’ll never be short of things to do.
You won’t have to go far from the village to do it. Gentle or more challenging walks, hills, rivers
and waterfalls: churches, teashops, restaurants and cosy pubs. There’s a village shop and
newsagent, a flower shop, delicatessen
www.askriggvillagekitchen.co.uk  and pottery.

The library has comfortable seating and a television and DVD player with a selection of DVDs,
including (endless) episodes of All Creatures Great and Small  which was filmed in and around Askrigg.
There are books, newspapers and magazines, or you can just relax and enjoy the view of
Addlebrough and the dales.

We serve breakfast in the dining-room on the ground floor. You’re welcome to relax in the adjoining
sitting-room while we prepare your full English, or we’ll gladly serve you a light breakfast in your room.
We get all our meat, eggs and milk from local farms.
