Walk Leader : John Adams
John Adams is a walk leader for a group of walkers known as the Wyre Ramblers. On the coach for each trip John provides a brief printed summary of the planned walk for those wishing to join him.
The walks his group undertakes make good
use of not being constricted to a circular route. With a suitable dropping off and pickup point John plans many fine walks along some of the less frequented footpaths of Northern England.

North to Wythes Hill, past Pin Gate to B6277.
B6277 Road :
North to edge of Middleton-in-Teesdale looking for (L) footpath.

MIDDLETON-IN-TEESDALE
Pennine Way Footpath :
(L) northwest along the River Tees to Low Force Waterfall.

LOW FORCE WATERFALL

Pennine Way Footpath :
Northwest to High Force Waterfall.

HIGH FORCE WATERFALL

Pennine Way Footpath :
Return along the footpath as far as Low Force Waterfall.

LOW FORCE WATERFALL

Footpath :
South to Holwick.

HOLWICK
Footpath :
North to Newbiggin Footbridge, cross the River Tees to (L) turn before next footbridge. Follow northwest to lane.
Lane :
(L) to Bowlees Visitor Centre.

BOWLEES VISITOR CENTRE

Footpath :
North to Gibson Cave waterfalls, returning to Visitor Centre via same footpath
