Scorton
The location for this walk is the pretty little village of Scorton,
just a few miles south of the historic city of Lancaster in the Red
Rose county of Lancashire. This cosy little village lies snugly between
the main west coast routes to Scotland for both rail and road traffic.
This short classic walk through Grizedale and up to Nicky Nook has long
been a favourite for generations of residents of Lancashire's Fylde
Coast but even with the popularity of Scorton this short walk still
remains as one of the Forest of Bowland's and Lancashire's hidden gems.
