original features reminiscent of its era, including beautiful exposed beams and two foot thick stone walls.

Outside is a patio and natural cottage garden with the clear waters of Cotter Beck flowing past the
garden gate of this peaceful and tranquil valley. It is a haven for wildlife including red squirrels
and many species of birds and the natural beauty of Cotterdale with its green meadows and
upland pastures provides ample opportunity to walk the hills and fells and explore this stunning
area of the Yorkshire Dales.

As you drive along the 1.5 mile narrow Dale road to Cotterdale a true perspective of the picture postcard
location of the hamlet is obtained.

flowing alongside it’s stone walls. It is a haven for wildlife including red squirrels and many species of birds.

Cotterdale is the ‘secret’ of the Yorkshire Dales and a walker’s paradise with footpaths from the
doorstep leading to the hills and fells of this spectacular valley. An ideal base for walking,
cycling and touring or relaxing days taking in the spectacular views across the green meadows
and uplands pastures, a maze of stonewalls between which sheep and cows peacefully graze.

A drive across the 'Buttertubs Pass' takes you into neighbouring Swaledale whilst the quaint
cobbled village of Dent and the market town of Leyburn are within a 30 minute drive with the
Lake District also easily accessible.
